Town of Fairplay Fireworks
Fairplay has a full day of activities scheduled on Independence Day.There will be a dog show around noon, a parade that begins at 3:00 p.m. and a street dance at 6:30 p.m. Throughout the day, there will be a barbeque and activities for the little ones like a bouncy castle for children for free. Everything's centered around Front and 6th Streets. Fireworks are scheduled for dark.
Town of Como Fireworks
Como is celebrating an old fashioned 4th of July. The day features a parade at 1 p.m., games for kids all day, watermelon eating contest, and a chili feed at 5 p.m. The highlight will be the fireworks display over Roundhouse at dark, put on by the Jefferson Como Fire Protection District.
Town of Guffey Chicken Fly & Fair
This years activities will include the “Chicken Fly,” the “Chicken Drop,” and the “Chicken Rollin’ Alley.”
Food hot off the grill all day, Sourdough Burgers, Hot Dogs, Ribs, and Eggs.
We need sponsors for chickens and young people to fly them. Trophies will be awarded.
See the historic Guffey Jail and City Hall. We will Have commemorative T-shirts for sale.
