Winter is Upon Us & The Elk are Here
By Kevin on Dec 6, 2009 | In Welcome | Send feedback »

As I sit here the snow is falling outside and the temperatures are hanging below freezing. This is a magical time of the year in South Park, its quiet, walking through the forest is peaceful, the animals are more relaxed.
And of course the amazing sights of Elk Herds across the Valley. 100s of Elk will herd together and wander around the basin grazing on the grasses that grew during the warmer months. And as the snow gets deeper higher up it will push the Elk Further down into the Valley.
Take some time to look around and spot the herds they are amazing.
